The parade started at 8:30 a.m. It reached my parent's neighborhood around 1:00 p.m.

Dirt Day

Winston is a house dog. He's quite content to watch garden work from afar.
Monty loves to dig in the dirt and then lay in it.
Every dog got a ride in the wheelbarrow.

We're planting potatoes soon. We turned the dirt over today. Next week we'll add some sand.

Steeler Pep Rallies

20,000 fans attended a pep rally at Heinz Field Friday. The Pittsburgh Zoo held a pep rally today for the Steelers. Free admission was granted to all visitors toting Terrible Towels. During the rally, a lion tore into cardboard cut-outs of cardinals. Gorillas destroyed a snowman wearing a cardinal jersey.

Steelers Head to Tampa

The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to their seventh Super Bowl.

My husband has decided to cheer for the other team. Being a Cowboys fan, he would rather have the Cowboys win their sixth ring before the Steelers.

Purple Things

Winston stared at my dad with the saddest face he could muster until he was hoisted up in the chair with him.


Now the Steelers must face those mean purple ravens and their coach's lavender coats.
