Blue Bell Cake and Ice Cream

We went to a wedding Saturday afternoon. This was the groom's cake.

Here is the wedding cake.

The lovely bride and groom.

Winston

Corn

Grilling Sunday...steak, sausage, boudin, french bread, and bell peppers and onions

Chocolate cake for dessert.

Saturday

We need a fence; another interloper in the back yard.

The boys were watching the neighborhood bustle with activity.

Winston was inside. He's a house dog and he could barely hold his head up.

Monty came in for some rest and relaxation.

Dinosaur-Eating Snake

Read this article about a a dinosaur nest found in India with a snake. This picture is a recreation of how it might have looked.

Weekend Mugs

Backyard Interloper

Winston and I were sitting in the backyard when this cat came running through the yard.
Since we live next to an empty lot we see lots of cats in the backyard. This is the closest we've been to one of them.

Finally a new grill...

Steaks, onions, and buttery french bread....mmmmmmmmm.

Sugar and Beads

Chocolate chip cheesecake from Rao's

Cookie sandwich from Rao's

Beads from the Carlyss Mardi Gras parade on Feb. 13

Here is an NFL Films clip about how the song "Renegade" became such a motivation at Steeler games.

Being a life-long Steeler fan and having lived in Ohio for 14 years in Bengal/Brown land, Direct TV was heaven-sent with NFL Sunday ticket. My husband is a Cowboys fan so he enjoyed it too. Here is a video of Direct TV's Ultimate Displaced Fan winner.

Orange Mardi Gras Parade

Apples and Sausage

Gala apples cut up with some to share with Winston. Winston loves fruit.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, flour, and butter added

Apple pie

Sausage and onion ready for chopping

Cooked rice in chicken broth and added to the sausage and onions. Good white trash cookin'!

The Green Hand

The dogs started barking at the front door like someone had come to visit. There was a note taped to the front door that told my husband there was something crazy on the truck.

Ah, the green hand...

Sweet and sneaky neighbor kids left us some valentines.

Guest Towels

My mom embroidered some towels for the guest bathroom.

Winston loves to eat toilet paper.
