Chalky Night

Under the light of the super moon last night we had some chalky visitors.

The blackberry blooms are everywhere.

Red River Run

We went to Alexandria LA today for the 2011 Red River Run.

This was the start of the race.

We had a pug sighting at the race. He was a very sweet pug.

The parade was stalled mid-route due to an accident and so it became a night parade. Here the LCM band is waiting to start again.

Baths and Eggs

The boys had a bath Saturday.

We had eggs for breakfast.

Oscar the Pug

We watched the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show last night. Oscar the Pug did a great job. He came in third in the toy group.

Jeffrey loves Cornelius. He will follow him anywhere.

Bath and Ice

Winston had a bath last night and got the chills. Had to bundle him up for awhile.

We got a little frozen rain which made the grass crunchy.

Cake

The Pittsburgh Steelers held a pep rally yesterday...18,000 fans. Here is Brett Keisel.

There are corgis and pugs in "The King's Speech." I love Geoffrey Rush.

Baked a chocolate chip cake today.

Someone dropped some cupcakes by the house last night.

Road Sign and Gumbo

Found a road sign in Vidor TX today...Pug Road

I made gumbo yesterday.

Per John Besh, I put the onions in the roux first and let them carmelize to make the roux even darker. Then I added the bell pepper and celery.

Amazing what animals come in from the cold...green anole (anolis carolinensis). He let me take his picture but wouldn't let me catch him.
